The Cradle Position: When and How to Use It
The "cradle" position is a horizontal sling carry where the baby lies across the adult's body, as in a classic cradle. It's suitable from the first days of life and especially convenient for feeding or naps on the go.
When to use it: in the first 1-3 months, before the baby can confidently hold their head up, and any time for soothing or feeding, regardless of age.
How to set it up: in Pognae models with a backless hipseat function, the cradle position is activated by shifting the seat into a horizontal position - the baby is laid on their side, with fabric supporting the head and back instead of your arms.
What to watch for: the baby's face must always be uncovered and clearly visible, the chin should not be pressed to the chest, and the airway must stay clear. If the baby falls asleep in this position, check on them periodically.
